Dr. Dasgupta completed his internal medicine residency
at Michigan State University and his Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at
Columbia University, Saint Lukes & Roosevelt Hospital then his sleep
medicine fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital while working at VA Medical
Center in Detroit. During his training, he received numerous awards
including resident of the year, fellow of the year and the Director’s Award
for research two years in a row. He is board certified in Internal Medicine,
Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Dasgupta is an active
clinical researcher and has contributed to numerous publications including a
recent study on Pulmonary Hypertension in collaboration with UCLA and
recently completed a study entitled “Greater total sleep time is associated
with lower pre-sleep salivary cortisol during chronic zolipidem use”. Dr.
Dasgupta was inducted into the American College of Physicians and now
carries the title FACP. Dr. Dasgupta teaches USMLE Step 1, 2, 3, and
Internal Medicine Board Review for Kaplan the past 5 years.
